A representative from the Big Lottery Fund is to provide some vital advice to Shetland residents eager to raise some money towards their next project.
Residents are being invited along to the funding workshop in Lerwick on Thursday, November 15 at 6.20pm in the Council’s Solarhus office, North Ness to learn about the various funding programmes on offer.
Various groups and organisations have benefited over the years from additional funding from the Big Lottery Fund, including community councils, youth groups and support services.
Michael Duncan, External Funding Officer with Shetland Islands Council: “The Big Lottery Fund has supported a number of projects in Shetland over the years and their grant programmes continue to be an important potential source of funds for local groups. I’d encourage anyone with a project in mind to come along to find out more at the information session. Groups who are seeking funding for a specific project should make a 1-2-1 appointment to discuss their ideas.”
