Fire crews are in still in attendance at Cromarty Firth Industrial Estate in Invergordon where a large silo containing woodchips caught fire last night.
The fire service received the call at 10.50pm when they mobilised four pumps and a height vehicle. Two pumps and a height vehicle are still in attendance.
More than 12 hours after the initial call crews remain on scene, the alp has been re-sited due to the wind direction and is being utilised as a water tower, whilst on site staff use excavators to remove pellets from the storage tank. #protractedincident#invergordon#bronto???

A spokesman for the fire service said: “The incident is still ongoing, there are three fire fighters on scene using breathing apparatus and one jet is in use.
“The silo is 49ft tall and 328ft in diameter.”
