A lorry driver has been arrested after their vehicle went off road and overturned on the A99 near Wick.
The accident at Borrowston Quarry, south of Thrumster blocked the main Wick to Latheron road for a number of hours.
Police and fire crews responded to the incident at around 1.30pm. A spokesman said: “A lorry driver was arrested for road traffic offences following the capsize of the artic vehicle.
“The driver was shocked but uninjured.”
Bear Scotland have now set up a temporary contraflow system allowing traffic past using one lane.
The lorry will be uplifted tomorrow.
