Police confirm name of 69-year-old killed in crash on A9

Police have named the man who died following a crash on the A9 at Foulis yesterday evening.

Charles Thomson was the driver and sole occupant of a Toyota Corolla which collided with a van at about 5.20pm.

The 69-year-old was from Invergordon.

Mr Thomson’s family released the following statement: “Charles was a loving father and grandfather and we are deeply saddened by our sudden loss.

“We ask that we are allowed privacy to grieve at this very difficult time.”
