Cash with a value of more than £2,000 has been stolen from a shop in Boat of Garten.
The incident, which took place on Boxing Day, occurred some time between 10am and 4pm at a premises on Deshar Road.
The shop was open at the time and officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area who believes they may be able to help to make contact.
Sergeant Steven Maclennan said: “We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have seen anyone carrying a red banking bag in the area of the shop on Boxing Day.
“Anyone with information, even if it may have seemed of little note at the time, is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident 1718 of December 27.”
