The RNLI Invergordon lifeboat was launched at 11.37am after a member of public reported the incident to the police. At the scene the crew conducted a search along with local coastguard teams, with nothing to report. Aberdeen Coastguard requested the lifeboat carry out a shoreline search towards the west of the village. Shortly after, the casualty was reported to be safe ashore and the lifeboat was stood down. The lifeboat returned to her Invergordon West Harbour berth and was refuelled and made ready for service by 12.45pm.
