Jewellery and alcohol have been stolen from an unoccupied property in Nairn.
Entry was forced to the house, in the Sutors Park area of the town, some time between 9.35am and 10pm yesterday.
Constable Graham Prentice said: “This is an unusual incident in Nairn and our inquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.
“I would ask anyone who believes they may have seen any suspicious activity around the area on Thursday to get in touch.
“It may be something which seemed inconsequential at the time but it may be of assistance to our investigation so please come forward if you think you may be able to help.
