Members of the public are being advised that the A9 trunk road by the Tain bypass is set to be closed between 7pm and 7am from Sunday 10 March to Friday 15 March as vital resurfacing works are conducted.
Restrictions are set to be implemented as Bear Scotland workers carry out the road repairs, with traffic being diverted during the closure onto the B9174 via the Tain North Junction.
Temporary traffic lights are to be put in place, as will a 10mph speed restriction to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the public. A convoy system is also set to be deployed, with motorists advised these restrictions will be lifted outside of working hours with the junction reopened.
A 30mph speed limit will remain in place until the completion of works as traffic will be travelling over a temporary road surface.
Bear Scotland has thanked the local community for their patience in advance, with anyone seeking further information asked to contact Calum Farquharson on 03300 080592 or e-mail at NWConsultation@bearscotland.co.uk
