Police said two vehicles collided head on after apparently skidding in the snow. Both vehicles – a BMW car and a Vauxhall van – both ended-up off the road on the Bealach na Ba near Applecross in Wester Ross. The Bealach boasts the steepest ascent of any road climb in the UK and is the third highest road in Scotland. The smash happened around 11am and all involved were unhurt.
