A man required hospital treatment after being attacked in a Highland town.
The 41-year-old was on Wick High Street at 3.20am yesterday when the incident occurred. He was left with facial injuries and taken to Caithness General Hospital.
Police are looking to speak to two men who were in the area at the time as part of their inquiries.
One is described as a wearing a black jacket and dark jeans with dark hair and the other wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt with short dark hair.
Both are believed to have left the area in a white Vauxhall Corsa shortly after the incident.
The car is believed to have been driven by a woman with blonde hair and officers are also working to identify her.
Sergeant Stuart Cormack said: “Our inquiries are ongoing into this disturbance and I would urge anyone with information to come forward.
“A number of people have already spoken to police and we are grateful for their assistance.
