They have been having a miserable time when it comes to league matches – and now Fort William FC have had some bad luck off the pitch, too.

There was anger in the Lochaber team’s home town last night after “scumbags” broke into the club causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.

Police say the damage was caused during a night of break-ins and vandalism in Fort William – to the football club, a vehicle and a shop in the area – and they are following a positive line of inquiry.

Director Sam Lees says the vandalism and theft from the building is a “financial blow” for the club, while it is trying to build themselves up after a difficult no-win season.
