Highland schools are preparing to take to the stage in Inverness next week for what is promised to be a show-stopping performance.
The Rock Challenge and J Rock competitions aim to inspire and motivate young people of all ages and backgrounds while giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills both on off stage.
Eden Court will welcome hundreds of students for the three-day extravaganza, with curtains set to rise on Monday evening.
A total of 11 J Rock teams will compete for the title, with Ben Wyvis Primary returning following their success last year.
Event manager Charlotte Payne claims it will be the biggest Rock Challenge and J Rock tour yet.
She said: “I look forward to seeing the wide range of performances that the schools bring to our events every year.
“It’s always fantastic to see the hard work put in by all the schools realised on stage. In 2019, we are putting on more shows than in any other year, and I can’t wait to take on the challenge.”
Six schools will compete in the Rock Challenge on Monday and eight will compete in the J Rock Challenge the following day. The popular event will come to a close with a final performance from the two remaining teams on Wednesday.
The event is being presented by the Be Your Best Foundation involving more than 320 schools and 20,000 students across the country.
