As a result of the incident, the road remains closed as emergency service personnel attend to the crash. The incident occurred shortly before 1.30pm with a Volkswagen Golf the only vehicle involved. A police spokesman confirmed one person was trapped in the vehicle with four fire appliances attending the incident. The man has been transported to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with his condition unknown. A fire service spokeswoman said: “We received a call from a member of the public at 1.34pm and sent two crews from Inverness to the incident. “Upon arriving there was a request for the heavy rescue unit from Inverness to attend and a retained crew from Inverness was also sent. “Hydraulic cutting gear has been used as has stabilising gear and heavy rescue hydraulic gear to cut open the vehicle to extricate the occupant. “A stop message was received at 2.35pm with crews leaving the scene around 3pm.”
