Two trapped walkers were airlifted today from a freezing gully on a Scottish mountain.
The men, suffering from the onset of hypothermia, became stuck on the 2900ft high Cobbler near the head of Loch Long in the Arrochar Alps.
They were on steep ground in poor conditions and had raised the alarm by mobile phone around 12.35pm.
Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team along with Police Scotland and the Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Inverness were tasked to locate and assist them off the hill.
The walkers were winched into the helicopter, then taken to rescue team vehicles and back to the Arrochar MRT base. They required no further medical treatment.
