An injured crewman is currently being transported from the Cape Wrath area to hospital in Inverness after sustaining injuries onboard his vessel.
A coastguard search and rescue helicopter has been sent to the incident to provide assistance, with the crew member being relayed to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
A coastguard spokeswoman said: “Just after 3pm today, a Danish vessel, four nautical miles east of Loch Eribol, requested HM Coastguard air assistance for the medevac of an injured crewman.
“The HM Coastguard Stornoway helicopter is transferring the casualty to Raigmore Hospital.
“We have no further information regarding this incident.”
The injured crewman’s condition is currently unknown.
