A man has been airlifted to hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle this afternoon.
As a result of the crash, the vital route along the A837 between Inchnadamph and Ardvreck Castle remains closed as emergency services attend to the scene.
The man has been transported to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness following the incident.
Police received reports shortly after 3pm, with the crash understood to have taken place around one mile south of the castle.
A police spokesman said: “One male has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“He has been taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness via air ambulance.
“The road is still closed and teams are still in attendance.”
