Police attended to a three-vehicle crash on Skye near Ashaig Airstrip in the south of the island.
A Dacia Sandero, a Vauxhall Astra and a Land Rover were all involved in the collision which occurred on the A87.
As a result of the smash, officers closed the road while recovery of the vehicles was arranged.
No injuries were sustained in the incident, however, one man was served with a penalty notice as a result of the crash.
A police spokesman said: “We received reports of a three-vehicle RTC on Skye at 10.36 am.
“Officers attended the incident, which occurred near to Ashaig, where no injuries were sustained.
“A 70-year-old man has been issued with a fixed penalty notice.”
The road reopened at 12.10pm but was partially closed an hour later as a local recovery firm attended to remove the vehicles.
