Fire crews have been called to attend a grass fire covering a 15 acre area in the west Highlands. It is happening in an area near Morar, around three miles south of Mallaig. The alarm was raised at 11.53am. Three fire appliances, one from Mallaig and two from Fort William have been sent to the scene. A community response unit from Spean Bridge was also sent. A fire service spokesman said crews remained on the scene at 2pm and added: “It is covering an area of approximately 15 acres.”
