A lifeboat crew saved a fishing boat from being swept on to rocks off Orkney – and was then given lobsters as a reward.
The Westray creel boat hit trouble when rope became entangled in its propeller.
The vessels prevented from drifting on to rocks at Noup Head at Westray after the Kirkwall Lifeboat came to the rescue on Saturday.
The lifeboat arrived at 1pm and a tow line was quickly connected.
The vessel was towed to Pierowall Harbour, Westray, and she was safely tied up there by 3.15 pm. The creel boat crew rewarded the rescuers with a bucket of partans and lobsters.
Coxswain Dougie Bain said: “It was quite rumbly and breezy off the Noup with a three-metre swell running. The crew did a great job connecting up the tow and bringing the boat in to safety in Pierowall.”
