Motorist taken to hospital after car overturns at Tore Roundabout

A motorist had to be cut free from their vehicle this afternoon after it overturned at the Tore roundabout.

The one vehicle collision occurred around 1.15pm leading to a hasty response from emergency teams.

UPDATE:

Three fire crews from Inverness were conveyed to the scene, eight miles north, alongside police and paramedics.

Crews used hydraulic cutting gear to free the casualty before placing them into the hands of the ambulance service.

The casualty was taken to hospital where their condition remains unknown.

One lane of the A9 southbound remained blocked for some time as emergency teams worked to clear the scene.
