A section of the A95 Grantown to Aberlour road at Tormore will suffer delays as resurfacing works start next week.
The £140,000 resurfacing improvements will address any defects in the road and create a smoother and safer journey for motorists.
The works will begin on Monday and will take five days to complete.
The project will take place between 7.30am and 5.30pm each day with works due to be completed by next Friday May.
To ensure the safety of road workers as well as motorists, a 10mph convoy traffic management system will be in place. All traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north east representative, said: “This £140,000 project has been designed to improve the general condition and safety of this section of the A95 for motorists.
“The traffic management is essential for keeping our road workers as well as road users safe during working hours. Our teams will do all they can to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.
“We thank motorists for their patience in advance while we complete these works and encourage road users to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website and allow some extra time to reach their destination.”
Real-time journey planning information can be obtained by visiting www.trafficscotland.org, or twitter at @trafficscotland or the new mobile site my.trafficscotland.org.
Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using SEPA-approved methods.
