An appeal for information has been issued by police after a motorcyclist was left with “life-changing” injuries following a crash on the A832 Cromarty to Ullapool road near Gairloch.
The incident, which occurred on Friday at around 2.25pm, involved a black Triumph motorcycle and a silver Ford C Max.
As a result of the crash, the 64-year-old driver was airlifted from the scene at Kerrysdale, approximately three miles east of Gairloch, to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, where he received treatment for his serious and life-changing injuries.
The occupants of the Ford C Max were uninjured.
Road Policing Sergeant Donnie Mackinnon said: “Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this collision and would ask anyone who can assist to come forward.
“We would be interested in speaking to anyone who witnessed the collision or how may have dashcam footage.
“The road was closed for a number of hours to allow for an investigation at the scene and I would take the opportunity to thank everyone affected for their patience.”
