Police have charged four people in connection with an attempted murder in the Highland town of Beauly.
The alleged incident happened within a property in Orchard Park around 5.20am on Sunday.
Four men, aged 50, 48, 24 and 18, are expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today.
A man and a woman were both seriously injured, the man’s injuries being considered life threatening.
He is in a stable condition and is receiving hospital treatment.
Detective Inspector Eddie Ross said: “This was a contained incident and our inquiries continue. I would like to thank members of the local community for their continued assistance with our inquiries.”
