Police are appealing for witnesses after two thefts in a small Highland village.
A van parked on Bank Street in Porthomack was entered and a number of power tools were stolen between Tuesday night and yesterday morning.
A white Yamaha 6HP engine was also removed from a boat situated in the drive of a property on Golf Course Road in the same Easter Ross village at around the same time.
A police spokesman said: “These are unusual incidents within the Portmahomack area and anyone with information is urged to be vigilant and report any unusual behaviour to the police.
“Please call 101 with any information, quoting NE2409/19, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
