A four-figure sum of cash has been stolen from a shop on Skye.
Police are appealing for information following the break-in at retail premises in the Carbost area. Entry was forced to the shop sometime between 5.30pm on Tuesday and 9.20am yesterday.
Extensive damage was caused to the store and a sum of cash, valued at a low four-figure sum, was stolen.
Detective Constable Joe Newson said: “This is an extremely unusual incident for somewhere like this and we are working to identify whoever is responsible.
“Anyone who may have seen any peoples or vehicles acting suspiciously in the area during the week is asked to come forward and contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number NP1508/19.
