Part of the vital A82 route spanning from Inverness to Fort William was closed for most of the day after an artic lorry left the road early this morning.
The incident, which was first reported to police at 8am, took place approximately six miles south of Drumnadrochit.
No injuries were sustained in the incident, with a partial closure put in place while recovery of the vehicle was arranged.
The vital route, travelled by dozens daily, reopened around 4.10pm.

A police spokesman said: “A partial closure of the A82 was put in place earlier today, around six miles south of Drumnadrochit towards the Invermoriston direction, after an artic went off the road around 8am this morning.
“The closure was to allow recovery of the vehicle.
“Officers have attended the scene to deal with the incident and police tape has been placed on the vehicle.
“The road has since reopened fully to traffic.
“No injuries were sustained.”
