Firefighters help moo-ve cow after it gets stuck in a bog

Firefighters frantically worked to save a cow after it became trapped in a bog near the Kyle of Lochalsh.

One crew from the area was sent to Balmacara alongside two units from Inverness to help rescue the stranded animal at around 1.37pm today.

Using ropes, hoses and small gear, the 17 firefighters lifted the cow from the bog.

After one hour work the cow was safely back on firm ground.
