The busy A86 Spean Bridge to Kingussie at Kinloch Laggan has reopened this evening after emergency services were earlier attending to a two-vehicle crash.
The incident was first reported at 11.30am and involved a car and a van, with one male taken to hospital as a result.
It is understood that his injuries are potentially serious.
A 112-mile long diversion was put in place via the A9 and A82 roads round via Inverness, with motorists told to expect delays.
The traffic restrictions were, however, lifted around 5.20pm.
