A fishing vessel which was earlier taking in water off St Ninian’s Isle in Shetland is currently under tow from an RNLI lifeboat.
First reports of the incident were received by the Coastguard Operations Centre in Shetland at 9.50am, with the crew of the Aith lifeboat arriving on scene at 11.40am.
A spokesman said: “The crew of the Aith lifeboat currently have the vessel under tow and are heading for Scalloway.
“Nobody has been injured or hurt.”
Earlier the crew of the Scottie’s Pride fishing vessel were attempting to pump water out prior to the Aith lifeboats arrival.
The Danish fish carrier Ronja was also in attendance to provide assistance.
It’s believed Scottie’s Pride hit a submerged object.
