Police are appealing to the public for help in tracing a reportedly injured teenager.
Officers were contacted by a member of the public who raised concerns for a boy aged approximately 14 years of age in Alness.
About 10.20pm tonight the boy asked for help with an injury, but left the area soon after.
He is described as white, approximately 14 years old, brown hair shaved at the side and wearing a white top and black jogging bottoms.
Police are specifically appealing to those who live near or were in the area close to Coulhill Primary School tonight.
“Given the hour, parents in the Alness and Invergordon area are asked to account for their children if they have not yet returned home. Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 4732 of 8 June”, a police statement reads.
