Three fire crews have this morning been tackling a blaze at a domestic property in Newtonmore.
Initial reports of the dwelling fire on Station Road were received at 10.27am.
Two crews from Grantown and a further appliance from Kingussie are currently on the scene, with four breathing apparatus in use, alongside two hose reel jets.
Crews are in the process of cutting away parts of the property both inside and out, with thermal imaging cameras in use. A fire service spokeswoman has confirmed that firefighters draped in breathing apparatus have now been withdrawn.
No information is currently available regarding whether the building was occupied at the time.
A police spokeswoman confirmed they have been made aware of the incident, however, officers are not in attendance.
