An event is to be held next month to celebrate the life of a Highland mountaineer.
Martin Moran was leading a group on an expedition to climb the 25,600ft Nanda Devi, India’s second highest mountain last month.
A major search was launched after the group failed to report in on May 31.
It is understood seven of the eight climbers’ bodies have since been recovered.
It is not known whether Mr Moran, who runs Moran Mountain and has been a guide since 1985, is among them.
Next month friends, colleagues and loved ones will join together to remember the Strathcarron man.
The Celebration of Life will be held at Torridon Community Centre on July 13 from noon to 3pm.
Mr Moran’s family said previously they were “deeply saddened” as they waited for news, while well-wishers who have been inspired by Mr Moran’s expertise passed on their messages of support.
His loved ones also expressed their “heartfelt gratitude” to everyone involved in the rescue and recovery operation.
“We will be forever thankful for the outpouring of love and support shown to those affected at this difficult time,” a statement said.
