Rescue teams battled against a rising tide to rescue a woman who had fallen down a cliff and broke her leg at Glenuig in Lochaber.
The emergency services were alerted to the incident just after 8pm on Sunday.
Coastguard teams from Salen, Kilchoan, Mallaig and Fort William were called to assist, as was the RNLI lifeboat from Mallaig.
A spokesman for the Stornoway Coastguard, who co-ordinated the incident, said: “We also called out the rescue helicopter 151 from Inverness to assist the female who had fallen down a 10ft cliff.
“There had been a bit of a rockfall at the edge of the cliff where it had crumbled. The tide was rising. That was certainly a concern.
“She had a broken leg among other injuries.”
The rescue teams co-ordinated to enable an airlift of the casualty on to the Coastguard helicopter, which flew the woman, who is in her 20s, to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
