Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment following a two-vehicle collision on the A96. Emergency crews were called to the wreckage on the Inverness to Aberdeen trunk road at the Mid Coul junction near Dalcross this afternoon. Two fire crews from Inverness and Nairn were sent to the scene alongside police and paramedics following reports of the crash around 1.30pm. Two people have been taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment with injuries “not thought to be serious”. One lane of the road remained blocked for some time as emergency crews worked at the scene. Officers were urging motorists to care upon approach to the area, before the road full reopened shortly after 2pm.
