Emergency crews were called to a stretch of the A96 Inverness to Aberdeen trunk road at the Mid Coul junction near Dalcross yesterday afternoon. Two fire crews from Inverness and Nairn were sent to the scene alongside police and paramedics at about 1.30pm. Two people were taken to Raigmore Hospital by ambulance for further treatment but their injuries were “not thought to be serious”. One lane of the road remained blocked for some time as emergency crews worked at the scene. Officers were urging motorists to take care upon approach to the area, before the road fully reopened shortly after 2pm.
