A busy week continued for Oban Lifeboat, which was launched to assist a yacht with engine failure, west of Kerrera.
The volunteer crew of Oban lifeboat was requested by HM Coastguard to launch on Saturday at 4.03pm to assist the vessel in the anchorage at the north west end of Kerrera known as Oitir Mhor bay.
Oban lifeboat ‘Mora Edith MacDonald’ set out shortly after being paged, arriving on scene with the yacht soon afterwards.
A tow was passed to the vessel and once under tow, the lifeboat proceeded back towards Oban where the yacht was safely berthed on a mooring in Cardingmill bay by 5.20pm.
Oban lifeboat then returned to station where she was ready for service again by 5.40pm.
