Appeal after attempted break-in in Fort William

Police in Fort William are appealing for information after an attempted break-in at the Spar store on Grange Road in the town.

The incident happened around 11.10pm on Tuesday July 23.

No entry was gained and nothing was stolen from the premises, although damage was caused to the external door.

Constable Scott Williamson said: “We would urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity around the area to come forward.

“In particular we are working to identify three people all dressed in dark clothing, who were seen in the area around that time.
