A Coastguard search and rescue helicopter was earlier today assisting an injured crew member on a North Sea platform.
The crew member has sustained an injury to their coccyx after falling aboard the platform, situated approximately 92 nautical miles east of Sumburgh.
As a result, Rescue 900 was tasked to transfer the casualty to the Clickimin Landing Site, with both the Lerwick and Sumburgh coast rescue teams providing assistance.
A coastguard spokesman said: “We received a call at 1.30pm this afternoon to provide assistance in the med evac of a crew member from a platform east of Sumburgh.
