The occupants of the vehicles did not sustain any serious injuries with the road fully reopening by 3.30pm. As motorists faced delays and lengthy tailbacks, officers attended at the Kessock Bridge following two further collisions. Officers received reports of the incidents on the northbound carriageway around 3pm. Two cars sustained extensive damage following the collisions which added to the exiting tailbacks along the trunk road. The vehicles were eventually moved off the road shortly before 4pm, with fellow motorists able to pass the site of the wreckage with care. The incidents come just one day after officers were conveyed to three separate collisions in less than two hours, resulting in long tailbacks.
