The A9 was closed at rush hour this morning following a three-car crash at Dornoch in the Highlands.
The emergency services were called to the accident at an area known as The Mound at 8.28am.
The Inverness-Thurso road was closed in both directions at Dornoch and a near 35 mile diversion has been put in place.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said they sent two crews and found all occupants were out of the vehicles upon arrival. Their condition is not yet known.
Both south-bound and north-bound carriages were closed as investigations were being carried out.
There has been a spate of accidents along the A9 this week. None resulted in serious injury.
An ambulance spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 8:25am today to attend a road traffic collision on the A9 between Golspie and Dornoch.
“Two ambulances and an immediate care doctor were dispatched and are teams are still currently working on scene.”
