Scottish sensation Lewis Capaldi made a young deaf fan’s dream come true at Belladrum over the weekend.
The 22-year-old, whose popularity has exploded in 2019, was the penultimate act on the Garden Stage on Saturday.
Schoolgirl Niamdh Braid was filmed on social media signing along to Capaldi’s hit, Someone You Loved, last month.
The footage sparked a viral campaign to get her on stage alongside her hero at Belladrum.
10-year-old Niamdh was born with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss and wears two hearing aids to help her.
Having taught herself sign language from YouTube tutorials, she wanted to sign the popular song to show that other deaf children can still do whatever they want – including going to music festivals.
It was hoped that she would join Capaldi on stage for the performance but when this wasn’t possible, she caught up with him backstage.
The clip has now been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on social media since it was uploaded by Niamdh’s proud mum Sam.
