WATCH: French hill walker captures perfect landscape at summit of Highland mountain

A French hill walker filmed his epic journey on the Suilven mountain in Sutherland.

The footage shows a perfect 360 degrees panorama of the top of the mountains at sunrise.

Florian Légo, a French hill walker from Brittany, shared the videos on the Facebook group “Scottish Hill Walking & Wild Camping”.

One of the videos shows two of the hill walkers all geared up climbing down the mountain as clouds roll in.

Florian can also be heard expressing his amazement in French with a “Oh la la!”. He was obviously pleased with the view.

The videos immediately received more than a thousand likes and a hundred comments such as “That’s amazing” to “Absolutely stunning”.

Speaking to the Press and Journal, Florian said he climbed the mountain with his girlfriend, Gwendoline Le Boudec, and a friend, Hugo Le Beller.

It took them more than six hours to scale the Glencanisp Lodge.

The sun rises on top of the Suilven Mountain.

He said: “We woke up at 4.30am for the sunrise and the clouds were swinging and dancing on the ridge of Suilven and all around the other mountains until disappearing into the sea.

“From the mountain the different lochs and landscape look like an artist’s palette.”

“A real paradise even if the wind was blowing.”
