A capsized catamaran sparked a rescue operation involving a CalMac ferry.
The crew went to assist two sailors whose catamaran had capsized in Craignure bay, Isle of Mull.
As Oban lifeboat the Mora Edith MacDonald launched at about 10am today, it was established that the two sailors had been assisted by the Calmac ferry Coruisk, with staff setting off on its rescue craft.
The stricken sailors were taken ashore, along with their catamaran, where they were met by Craignure’s Coastguard team.
Oban lifeboat arrived on scene at 10.21am but with everyone safe ashore and accounted for, the lifeboat was stood down.
