A man in his 50s has been taken to hospital in Inverness with “serious but not life-threatening injuries” following a crash this morning on the A835 Inverness to Ullapool route.
The incident, involving a lorry and a van, was first reported to emergency services around 7.12am.
As a result, one person – understood to be the driver of the van – has been taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We received a call at 0743 hours today to attend an incident on the A835 in Garve.
“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one male patient in his 50s to Raigmore Hospital.”

A police spokesman added: “The incident has occurred on the A835, just south of Garve, and has involved a Ford Transit van and a lorry.
“One person, the driver of the van, has been taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
“The passenger of the van and lorry driver have also sustained injuries, but these are not as serious.
“The road reopened at 9.30am after recovery of the vehicles was arranged.”
It is understood the injured driver is being taken to Raigmore by road ambulance.
