A 43-year-old male cyclist has been transferred to hospital in Aberdeen after a serious accident in the Highlands.
It happened on Carr Road, around a quarter of a mile from the junction with the A938, near Carrbridge at 7.15pm yesterday.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the accident. The cyclist was travelling eastbound and the tractor westbound.
The man was initially taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment before being transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he remains in a serious condition.
The road reopened around 2.45am following an investigation at the scene.
Road Policing Sergeant David Miller said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances of this collision and anyone who may be able to help is asked to come forward.
“I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the tractor or a group of bicycles on the road prior to the collision to get in touch.
“Anyone who could help our enquiries can call 101, quoting reference NM1637/19.”
