A male motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on a busy Highland road.
The casualty was travelling around seven miles south of Ullapool on the A835 Inverness to Ullapool road when he collided with a car.
He was assessed at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to hospital for further treatment where his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police attended the scene alongside paramedics following initial reports of the incident at 11.06am.
An air ambulance was also called to the scene.
The road remained closed in both directions for some time to allow teams to continue work at the scene before reopening around 12.45pm.
