Police divers have begun searches in a Highland river as efforts to trace missing Jacqueline Ullmer entered their fifth day.
The 60-year-old from the Carrbridge area was last seen at her home in the early hours of Saturday morning, but hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
As concerns continue to grow for her welfare, members of the force’s Dive and Marine Unit commenced searches of the River Dulnain yesterday as extensive searches continued.
Inspector Vince Tough said: “At this time the last sighting of Jacqueline Ullmer remains the early hours of Saturday morning at her home address
“We are making every effort to try and establish Jacqueline’s subsequent movements and these detailed searches form part of that work.”
Various agencies have assisted in the ongoing efforts to trace her whereabouts including the RAF Mountain Rescue Team, the HM Coastguard helicopter, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and personnel from Cairngorm mountain rescue.
She was last seen at her village home on Station Road around 1.30am and is thought to have left the premises between then and 6am.
Ms Ullmer is described as being 5ft 6in tall and of slim build, with brown medium length hair.
It is not known exactly how she was clothed but she is believed to be wearing a blue jumper and blue jeans.
He added: “I would take the chance to thank everyone who has assisted our enquiries so far and urge local residents and visitors to Carrbridge to remain vigilant and report anything they think may be of note to us as promptly as they can.
“Anyone who has any information can call us on 101 quoting incident 1723 of August 31.”
