A man was taken to hospital after his car crashed near Invergordon yesterday.
The A9 Inverness to Thurso road was closed in both directions for several hours following the incident, which took place near Delny.
A police spokesman said: “The call came in at 3.55pm. Emergency services were in attendance near Delny. One car was involved.”
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “We had three appliances in attendance. We were helping the ambulance service, supporting and stabilising the vehicle.”
The road reopened at about 9pm last night. No information was available regarding the condition of the injured man.
