The body of a man was retrieved from Kirkwall Harbour after police were alerted by a member of the public. Police are making investigations into his identity. A police spokeswoman said: “Around 8.40 am this morning, Saturday September 21, the body of a man was recovered from Kirkwall Harbour. “Inquiries are ongoing to confirm his identity. “At this time there would appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
