A woman has died after a two-vehicle crash in the Highlands.
Emergency services were called to the B9160 on the Black Isle at around 11.40 am.
The incident, which took place near the junction with the A832, involved a blue Skoda Octavia and a green Skoda Yeti.
Police have confirmed the 63-year-old female driver of the Skoda has died. Her next of kin have been made aware.
A man and a woman who were within the other vehicle sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Police officers, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service and a heli-med despatched from Inverness were all in attendance.
Road policing sergeant Alan Henderson said: “First and foremost, our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragic incident.
“An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing and I urge anyone who either saw what happened, or saw either vehicle in the lead-up to the incident, to please get in touch as soon as possible. Dash-cam footage in particular would be extremely useful.”
